Notes of an Insomniac

I walk around a depopulated world, at first I wrestle with the idea, but eventually I cease to fight. I start to believe that maybe fantasy won the battle against cognition and now fables are more powerful than history. I wonder if dreams have more strength than facts? Is laughter really the best medicine? or whether love really endures all things? Are pictures really worth a thousand words? Is seeing really believing?

Once I feel defeated I decided to sit down with insomnia as an enduring companion, she becomes my accomplice, my ally, she is no longer an accessory that i can ware out on a saturday night, she is now my fully devoted advocate.
